ABOUT US

What is Horse therapy Connection?

Horse Therapy Connection (HTC) is a unique integrated and comprehensive center dedicated to help children who are differently-able. It is an exclusive experience not only because we use horses, other farm animals and nature as part of the treatment, but also because we see children as a whole.

Horse Therapy Connection’s main course of treatment is hippotherapy. The term “refers to how occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech-language pathology professionals use evidence-based practice and clinical reasoning in the purposeful manipulation of equine movement to engage sensory, neuromotor, and cognitive systems to achieve functional outcomes”. (American Hippotherapy Association)

In addition to hippotherapy, we offer a wide variety of innovated treatments that include: yoga, movement/dancing classes, aromatherapy, sonotherapy, energy healing, paint and art, nutritional/cooking classes, and a support group where parents will never feel alone during this beautiful process.

Also, HTC hosts “connecting one day mini retreats with parents and their children along with activities where they can share memories together.
